Why Attend?
Established entrepreneur or someone just starting out, everyone has room to learn. The best way to learn is to surround yourself with experienced, knowledgeable professionals. VETS' classroom discussions, one-on-one matchmaking sessions, and social networking connect Veteran Entrepreneurs to people and knowledge.
VETS classes range in topics: Finance, Contracting, Sales & Marketing, and Verification, just to name a few. They are taught by successful Veteran business owners and industry leaders with years of business know-how. The best part, classes are small. You actually interact with the speaker...ask a real question, get a candid answer. Classes often evolve into open discussions on the topic and how it directly affects your business.
Our one-on-one matchmaking sessions put you at a table with Federal Agencies and Prime Contractors looking for services from Veteran-owned businesses. Fifteen minutes to show your wares to the likes of Lockheed Martin, NASA, VA, and many more.* There isn't always a fit, but the VETS community is close. The Agency representative you talk to now may recommend you speak to the Prime Contractor two tables down. You can catch them over coffee during the break between sessions.
During evening events, breakfast or luncheons, or in between sessions, VETS' open, intimate, social atmosphere connects Veterans. Business ideas, teaming opportunities, and service stories abound. Young, energetic Veterans coming off active duty learn from entrepreneurs who have seen the good, the bad and the ugly of owning a business. Experienced Veterans, starting a new business or wanting to improve the way they work, connect with the younger generation to learn about technology, social media, and how current issues affect them and how they see the business world.
VETS2012 is about Veterans helping Veterans. Everyone who attends has something to offer and learn. Register today and become part of our growing community.
